. >> i'm liz cho. >>> we begin with breaking news. on approach to laguardia airport. >> another drone incident. eyewitness news reporter tim fleischer is there with the breaking news. tim? >> reporter: and, bill, late this evening we are getting new information on this incident. we understand it was confirmed through the faa that it was american airlines flight 4125. it was making the final approach into laguardia about 4:30, coming in on runway 22 that comes in from the north or from the bronx. at that point, a passenger, we are told, spotted an unmanned aircraft, a drone, that was reported to the crew on board. the flight itself, the plane, it was able to land safely on runway 22 without incident of any kind. but, again, it it was as this american airlines flight was on the final approach runway 22 that a passengers on board spotted an unmanned aircraft just off to the side of the aircraft at some distance. it's not clear how far or how close that drone was from the flight.
