liz kreutz found people helping each other stay cold. that is great to hear. reporter: yes. it is good to find the helpers. it feels like it is starting to cool down, which is good to hear and feel, but it has been so hot in the north bay. it feels like we have all been suffering. some more than others. behind me as a homeless encampment. we met a woman who has been working to make sure that those are on housed during the heatwave have a way to get some relief. >> i have some gatorade. reporter: as temperatures hit triple digits in sonoma county, one resident has had only one thing on her mind. >> today i have been giving out cold drinks for people out in the streets. they don't have homes. you put it on your neck or wrist and it will help keep you cold. that is your icepack. reporter: in petaluma, several homeless people braved the heat. even nearby tiny homes are too hot to be in. >> the tiny homes are like a cooker. >> it is scorching. >> this is frozen so you can keep cool with it. reporter: she wanted to make sure the most vulnerable don't go unforgotten. >> there is on
