anchor liz kreutz explains what your vote means by now, you've likely heard about the efforts to legalizefornia vote yes on prop 27 join more than 50 gaming and non-gaming tribes throughout california. vote. no on prop 27. yeah. those ads are airing all across the state for and against the two propositions and frankly. it's a little confusing. so let's break it down first and foremost what is sports betting? well, it's a form of gambling where someone can wager cash on a sporting event sports betting except for horse racing is currently not legal in california. there used to be a nationwide band, but a 2018 supreme court ruling overturn that and since then more than half the states in the country including, new york, new jersey, arizona have legalized some form of sports betting it's now up to california to decide what to do here. that brings us to the november election. so on the ballot, we'll be two dueling initiatives prop 26 and prop 27 both would legalize sports betting one or both could pass and there's a lot of money at stake with all of it. so let's start with prop 26. it's funded
