i'm liz kreutz. let's get straight to the weather center where lisa argen is tracking this rain.a: good morning. we had a strong cold front go through while you were sleeping at about 1:00, 2:00 in the morning. we are behind that system, but it dropped anywhere from one third to half an inch of rain with about 100 lightning strikes throughout much of the bay area. in the north bay, there is snow. snow on top of mount tam in the east bay. piedmont, highway 13, and a mix of snow and rain from mount hamilton down to san martin. but as we look at the winter weather advisory, all the locations above 2000 feet from tampa to mount diablo is looking at snow through about 4:00. it is breezy, snowy and slick out there even though you are seeing some sunshine. a level 1 system with snow levels dipping below 2000 feet, a slight chance of a thunderstorm. those humorless clouds show you an unstable atmosphere. 46 downtown and a look from our exploratorium camera where it is in the mid 40's in santa rosa. cooler behind the system, a little breezy, and san jose, partly sunny skies. some scattere
