liz: we saw the ten-year peak in november, around november 7th at 3.25%. we are at 2.66 right now on the ten-year. warrenfett and berkshire hathaway just refinanced about $1 billion of debt from a floating rate to a fixed rate, i guess tacked on to the 30-year fixed. to me, that looks like a sign he says folks, this is as good as it's going to get, i want to lock in these low rates. how did you read that? >> absolutely. let's break this down to the household level. take warren buffett's cue. refinance your adjustable rate mortgage into a fixed rate mortgage. take that variable rate home equity line of credit, either refinance it into a fixed rate home equity loan or see if your lender will freeze the rate on your outstanding balance. you have to get away from your exposure which is that variable rate debt. lock in fixed rate. really accelerate your debt repayment. liz: i'm feeling that. good to see you, greg. thank you. happy new year. >> thank you, liz. happy new year. liz: greg mcbride. look at the dow 30, almost everything right now in the green but for verizon. which is down just ten cents. closing b

[laughter] maria: such a beautiful story. ing day -- dagen: i can't wait to talk about it. she's tired of allege -- alejandra ocasio-cortez taking all the steam. maria: you know what i was thinking about this morning, when you take a look at some of the wealthy out there, they're not necessarily creating or gaining more wealth because of higher income levels, they've created wealth and have money in stock, money in real estate, but you know, you take someone like a warren buffet who always used to say, it's disgraceful that i have lower tax rate than secretary, that's because wealth was in stock, he's paying capital gains versus her in income, when you take a look at the wealth, i think you have to take a look at what we are measuring. dagen: she wants to confiscate people's money, people's wealth. all the other countries in the world where billionaires or multimillionaires might live, do the exact same thing. i think one of her ideas is to -- if you try to reascend -- tur
