lizzy: thank you.will go back to vienna and the oil story were opec's international seminar is kicking off. the conference starts at an important point after saudi arabia announced earlier this week it would extend a voluntary production cut with russia also saying it would reduce crude exports. bloomberg's manus cranny is in vienna for us. we saw those extensions of cuts, how do you read into that? manus: it is interesting when you look at the flow show before the announcements, and russian oil was flowing out the door at a seven week high. russia was taking advantage of that discount in the oil prices. they announced they will come on board and do 500,000 barrels a day, a cut on exports but more importantly is whether they adhere to what alexander novak promised, a potential cut of 500,000 barrels. trust is all we have. that is what prince been some on said, so let's see if we progress from trust to delivery. this is an additional cut the russians have announced. this is very much about the axis betw

lizzy: very good bias there. this print, we have had for beam upside inflation surprises in the u.k. and this will be crucial to whether the bank of england goes for a half point hike again at the august meeting. you have mentioned core inflation. that will be crucial and is expected to say about the same but if it rises the 50 basis point hike is on the table. valerie: today, i am most excited about whether this will extend the bond rally. if we get a soft and 50 basis point hike, this could light the bond rally on fire. the u.k. is one of the last developed countries do not turnaround core cpi we get a confirmation of that today, i think the bond market globally is going to take a big sigh of relief heard dani: the last four prince have come in hotter than expected. maybe we have a handle on inflation expectation in the u.k.. probably not. lizzy and valerie thank you for joining the roundtable. that is lizzy burden and valerie tytel. you can get a roundup of the stories in today's addition of daybreak. channel

the market has been so strange, lizzy. lizzy: what would we do without you, dani? it was all about jobs data last week, it is all about inflation data this week. but no relief to start the week for bond investors. 10 and-year yields climbing this morning, highest levels this whole year. dani: i come back to how we are this market is. the yield curve steepened dramatically last week but it was a bear steepener. bonds are selling off, we priced new highs when it comes to rates. it's weird that we had a steeper yield curve. last time this happened was march and the expectation was that the fed would be cutting. we're in a different regime. 10's are in the driver's seat. this is a confusing market. kristine: confusing indeed. the people participating are confused themselves. what we're seeing from this yield curve move speaks of entrenched expectations for inflation. we're seeing long-term yields staying elevated as people come to the realization that this might be the new normal for inflation. we might not get to that 2% target for a few years. the expectation this we
