lizzy: i appreciate the explanation. to ask, is it fair to say that 2022 may be as good as it gets for dhl earnings? melanie: well, with our medium-term guidance we indicate that by 2025 we want to be back about 8 billion euros. but obviously the year 2023 is going to be a bit of a year of normalization, particularly in the forwarding business. when you look at where our revenue declined in the second quarter in the first of the year comes from, it's predominantly from global forwarding. where market circumstances were extraordinary in 2022, we still had significant capacity constraints on the air and the oceanside. at the same time, there were still some demand peaks that led to an extraordinary market environment. it was obvious and to be expected that there would be a normalization. lizzy: macro wise, the german economy is stuck in a rut. are you seeing that in your business? melanie: i think across the board for germany, for europe, but also in other parts of the world, in the b-to-b volumes we see a lack of dynamic

lizzy: it sounds like a minefield.o investors get their head around which companies are safe and which might be the next? lorretta: that is the million-dollar question right now for the investors. the thing to look out for is really who has got the next maturity because we know these private developers have not been able to get extra financing so really, i think the indicator for which one will be in the next to fall -- will be the next default will be which has the most charity. another indicator is how much state support these developers are getting. country garden was once flanked by the government as one of the key developers because it is systemically important for the country but we also have seen that after receiving some guaranteed bond issuance quota from last year, country garden has not been getting extra state support so i think that is the key question. you know, what level of support is sufficient for these developers to survive? lizzy: thanks to the writer chen -- lorretta for that update. the military l

hey, good morning, lizzy. yeah, so as you can see right there on the board, just now that you were showing, chinese equities are obviously wanting to a little bit more out of the pboc as you mentioned, the pboc unexpectedly cut their benchmark medium term lending facility rate today by 15 basis points. that's the biggest move since 2020. we're also looking to see if they will make those similar cuts in their loan prime rate in the days following. but investors are obviously looking for ways for them to shore up confidence again in the market. we're seeing a lot of concerns around the property sector. we're also seeing that data come out shortly after that surprise rate cut. retail sales, industrial production all expanded, but missing estimates. we're also hearing that they're going to stop releasing this youth unemployment data, this benchmark that they've been following for quite some time to show kind of sustainable growth. that figure was around 21% earlier in the year. and so how markets are faring, i mea

morning, lizzie.so i think think for me it really is about the wage growth because when you look at the bank of england's reaction function and what it's been doing, it's been really focused in on wage growth. it's been really focusing on services, inflation. and we'll get some information about that at 7 a.m. this morning. and for me, it's the it's the wage growth that has really going to drive their how they respond. yes, unemployment is rising. we know that. and the labor market is loosening. but what is clear is that it's not loosening by enough to slow wage growth. as you've rightly pointed out, their wage growth is still rising. so i think for me, at least in the near term, if you're trying to work out what the bank of england is going to do next, it's definitely looking at the wage growth data and also the services inflation. as mentioned earlier. so that's something that we're going to get this morning. and what that does will be actually the key thing this morning. i think you've got a headli
