from all of the different local universities and high schools participating in this march that have seem to have returned to that spirit of political activism that was present here in the first few days after the death of freddy gray. we've just seen a number of speakers from the back of a flatbed truck in front of city hall. now the group is moving back to penn station where the march originated from earlier this afternoon. it has been entirely peaceful and refocused on the issue that started in whole thing. the death of gray in police custody. there are thousand was of people -- thousands of people. eye well organized, most peaceful demonstration we've seen on the streets in baltimore in sometime. >> do we know if there have been any arrests earlier today? >> reporter: not from this demonstration. they have had police following along and we've seen national guard groups set up somewhere along the route. but police have try to the give demonstrators a wide berth in deference to how well organized they have been. they have been shutting down intersections ahead of the group. and we have

"the washington post" found gallaudet university has the highest per capita rate of reported sex offenses of all u.s. colleges. stephen tschida went to today's events on campus. stephen: gallaudet university tops the list when it comes to reported sexual offenses on campus. in 2012 there were more than 11 per 1,000 students. and today, students and faculty rallied to try to change this situation. they pounded a drum and signed gallaudet's fight song. not in opposition to another college team. but a more serious problem. >> we need to stop sexual assaults. stephen: analysis revealed that gallaudet had 100 reportable offenses for every 1,000 students in 2012. the statistics prompted students to rally. >> it's our attitudes that make us who we are. stephen: hundreds wore teal t-shirts labelled "it's on us." >> we felt it's a special color. i think one thing is it's very very easily seen. it's bright. stephen: they want to bring attention to a haunting question -- why the hig

the four gunmen attacked the university in garissa in northeastern kenya, around about 5:00 a.m. local time. they entered the university grounds, killing two guards at the gates. they moved on into the campus separating muslims from christian students shooting dead the christians on the spot. around 500 students on that campus did manage to escape. they got away through the fence, marked out here. now, some 13 hours after the attack began, the gunmen were surrounded by security forces in the female dormitories and there their suicide vests were detonated. well, these pictures give you some idea of the confusion in the aftermath of the siege. just have a look at some of these pictures. we've got pictures of injured, just lying out there, waiting for someone to come and take them to some place of security get some medical attention. now the scene is this. the university certainly quieter there, but ambulances military vehicles coming and going amid some very tight security. our correspondent, anne soy, is in garissa and sent us this report. >> reporter: a day after the massacre here at t

locals saying they saw ambulances coming to and from the university early this morning as this was unfolding. you see what appeared to be students there or at least people in the local community just watching all of this happen. you can imagine how frightened the young people were this morning when they were still sleeping as these gunmen stormed into the dormitory. >> yeah. terrifying situation at 5:30 in the morning. we understand the people who were there in the mosque were the firefighter hear of these gunshots, attackers. some of them saw them. they saw six to ten attackers dressed in military uniforms some sort. there's some suggestions that al shabaab militants may be behind this. they haven't claimed responsibility at this point. they have been responsible for attacks on garissa before and, of course, we know that there their beef with the government is that they've sent troops to somalia. we are keeping an eye on that. and of course as we mentioned, these pictures coming in, showing the situation, we know from the kenya red cross. 30 people have been taken to hospital there. four pe
