the improvement in san francisco economy has impacted the local workforce. the high level of construction activity taking place in the city of san francisco has effected our ability to draw on those workers as well and that is reflected within thcharts. one thing of note for bay view hunters point, the drop there should improve. the reason for that is that the hunters view project began and the hours put in for that particular project consists primarily of piling work where local operating engineer hours are minimal but we should see an improvement in local workforce in the bay view hunters point area. as i mentioned, workforce remains a challenge. the high level of construction actirfbties placed a tremendous demand on local construction labor. as a example the board of supervisors back in june 2015 approved the expansion of the mandstory local hiring ordinance where local hiring requirements are required on prifent projects on public land. i believe that became efeblthive at the end of august but never the less, we feel it is a challenge in termoffs gettin

running and raising their horses here locally. it was set up as a trust because they did not want people to feel like they had to make money off of this place. they wanted them to fulfill the missions they originally set out for. we have three trustees that our management firm reports two. the association itself is really owned by the community. in some ways, we are more of a park and arboretum than a race track. we only race 32 days a year, but we are open 365 and we have horses training here all year long. lexington is very unique situated based on geography. our topography is great for horses. the limestone we have underneath is the same thing that makes our bourbon great. we are very fortunate that the limestone with the calcium deposits in the water and the grass builds strong bones. you have a 1200 pound animals running on legs the size of ours . you need those strong bones and that strong background. horses love the seasons. kentucky is known for its varying seasons, with the winter and the hot summers and everything. horse
