because there is a regional regulation that says that all our local authorities need to have a local mobility plan. i heard this morning about a problem like neighbors complaining when things have to be changed and the whole debate that is coming up then. but i think we have it similar because it's our local mayors who sometimes are hesitating to put into practice -- that's one of the reasons why those cycling routes sometimes get stuck, because you have a regional cycling route, but local authorities, we have 19 in brussels, local authorities do have to give permits for that. there is a lot of criticism on that and i heard my dutch colleague say one hour ago, you can get stuck because at local levels people don't like it, although your regional plan is to be so good. that's true. on the other hand, i think that it's a good democratic process to really to go at the low-cal level and convince people why it's good to have those new infrastructureses. this is one of the typical, in old belgium towns you would find it now, it's the flow of cycling. it's what you do if you have a one-way

we also completed construction on three of our local projects during our local quarter.biggest piece of the pipe here is in design for the local projects, and i would like to point out that two of those five projects our water supply projects accounting for 240 million. we also have the project with $56 million that is still in design. the division of safety of them has jurisdiction over this project, and there are some issues we are trying to work out with them. construction has been completed on 27 projects with a total value of $180 million. similar formats for our regional projects, and i'm happy to report that the biggest piece of the pipe here is construction. we currently have $1.3 billion worth of total project costs in construction. only nine of our 46 regional projects remain in planning or design. we also have over $500 million worth of projects in big and award, so those will also move quickly to construction. during the reporting quarter, the upper alameda creek filtering project went from planning to design. the crystal springs upgrade project reached the b

i want this to be an important destination or locals. i don't know that this is a fair thing to say. one of the charges of the commission is to bring people to the park. if the new and improved part does this, this is part of our commission. i don't want this to be a f oodie destination. is it so wrong for it to offer some good food and a place to sit down. i went to muir woods to the other day to look at their cafe. this was a very understated, very simple. i found the menu which was wonderfully affordable. there were several things under the price of $8. i was pleased with the message in that cafe. this is about history. the take away for me in that cafe was that this is a historical space, this is a space that is mindful of the environment that it serves. it did have a lot of souvenirs' and frankly moving forward from this process, we will be doing public meetings and i understand the process, that is a valid concern. i don't want to see their -- there a lot of -- in stow lake. there were three very good proposals. this is extraordina
