to warn you guys, this next one can be a lile bit toh to hunters, seven of them at the tumbleweed lodge in harold, south dakota, came upon this scene, two bucks with their antlers locked together. as you can tell right off the bat, one of the deer in this video is already dead and the hunters believe these deer were stuck together for several days. to make matters worse, two eagles were feeding on the dead deer as the group of hunters approached, the eagles flew off. that happened before the video began. the guys taking the videos are brothers mark and jim, and the two guys that go up and attempt to separate these two deer are the guides from tumbleweed lodge. obviously this deer is kind of spooked by the human. doesn't want to be around these guys. here they go, try to separate the two deer. takes some time. it looks painful too. the deer's neck is just wrenched downward and you can see what's left of the deer that's died. eventually, after quite a bit of struggling they are able to disconnect the two and the deer immediately runs off. the guy said it was a little disoriented, weak, ki

one summer i had a job at signal mountain lodge in the tee tons. he came to visit and read nick adams stories. now is now is now. inspired, he signed on for a job. long after school chris was still there, immersed in the culture. not only hiking, fishing and camping but hunting elk. hard to believe. one of the last times i was with chris we took a long run through the trails of walnut creek. he was reading a book of how to keep running as we enter our later years. giving me pep talks in how to drag myself out of bed in cold, dark mornings for that run. i was inspired. through mom he learned the value of visiting a foreign country. the importance of talking to people in their own language. when he was a comfortable piedmont high schooler playing tennis and drinking beer -- sorry -- [ laughter] >> mom signed him up for the american field service. she thought he might be sent to brazil to work in sugar cane fields or build la betweens, a character building experience, but chris, leading the charmed life, spent the summer polishing spainer and paella.
