it was diverted to boston's logan international airport. united said they found the camera in a backseat pocket and couldn't find the owner. there was nothing to indicate there was anything dangerous, but they decided they would not take any chances. they were escorted by fighter jets. it was thoroughly searched and nothing dangerous was under to. a high flying encounter with a bird left a gaping hole in the nose of a united airlines plane. it is unbelievable. the collision happened as the plane was flying into denver and punctured the fuselage. that was done by a bird. the flight that left from the dallas forth worth airport landed safely, and none of the 151 passengers was hurt. but there is an airline sand witch scare. a passenger on an air canada flight says she found a needle in a sandwich she bought yesterday on a flight from victoria, british columbia to toronto. you may recall a couple weeks ago needles were found in six sandwiches from amsterdam to the united states. the fbi continues to investigate those cases. >>> it is time to c

the department of homeland security is saying the so-called chat down program at boston's logan airport after the new york times reported on sunday that many tsa employees claimed it targets middle easterners, hispanics and blacks. the program is designed to focus on the riskest passengers rather than treating everybody the same offers casual questions and look for deception and hostility. questions like are you traveling alone? where did you stay while you were here? or can you explain permithius? they say many officers were targeting minorities thinking it would lead to drugs or arrest warrants. let's go to buster and buddy, our correspondents. >> ?ot getting a lot of in-- not getting a lot of info on sources and methods. here is how i look at it. i always say here is the thing. nobody likes the random pat downs. everybody agrees they are stupid. grandma is getting patted down and five-year-old girls are getting patted down. that lead to this behavioral detection thing they are trying out now. in a sense, wrnts we asking for this? -- weren't we asking for this? >> this is exactly what
