in logansport, thank you. sandra?ew claims amid the ongoing border crisis. san diego county supervisor jim desmond says the biden administration shipping migrants from the san diego sector to other border towns in an effort to make this migrant crisis look better before election day. he joins us now. welcome to you. what can you tell us is happening? >> well, sandra, since september of last year until june of this year, we had over 155,000 people just dropped off at our transit station here at san diego county. we heard about a week ago that because of the overwhelming number of people still coming across the san diego sector, our border patrol agents just can't process them. they were going to up start again with the street drop-offs, just last week, and i thought, well, that's not going to look good for the administration, and sure enough, what they are doing now instead of street drop-offs here, they are shipping people, three busloads a day, to huma arizona. they are also flying people out, about four flights a da

let's take you to logansport, indiana. their small town is struggling. garrett tenney coming to us with the details on this migrant influx. the town did not see coming, garrett? reporter: liz, this town is known as a diverse community with a lot of immigrants so folks here say it's not a race issue. it's a culture issue, and that the explosion of haitians has just been too much for their town to handle. over the last three-years, logans port mayor estimates more than 3,000 people moved in looking for work with most being haitians who came into the country through the biden-harris administration's immigration programs. that is a 20-30% increase in the town's total population. that is creating a lot of issues. the health department is seeing an uptick in cases of hiv and aids and the roads aren't as safe as they used to be with a 30% jump in accidents and driving violations and long time residents say they don't feel safe anymore. >> just keeps on getting worse and worse and they keep bringing them in and they run the whole streets at the nighttime. >> the

let's bring in candace x mendoza, a mother from logansport who is unhappy with the influx of migrantsy. good to sit down and talk with you, appreciate it. so the population of cass county was 38,000, but has now grown by 30 percent with a lot of predominantly haitian migrants who have moved in and a lot trying to find work at the local chicken processing plant, what is the effect been in your mind to the community? >> it is just over run. we don't have space for everybody. so the housing has been taken over, and our schools have been taken over. pretty much the whole town has been taken over a period. >> in terms of the school being taken over, the population in 2021 was 14. that number has grown to 207. and there is a lot of complaints that many of the students are el students, english learner students they can't do the coursework and are getting moved up from grade to grade without being able to understand the material or pass the grade. >> yes, they just get passed on. they don't actually have to pass the grade. they actually just get moved forward and forward and forward. so they

we just want people to feel safe here in logansport.ntury, i'm sorry it's been a wonderful place to raise your family and do business in. we wanted to continue down that path. >> ainsley: dave, why are they coming to your town. >> i believe they are coming for employment. i can't blame them. i don't blamed haitians at all on this. this is not their fault. god bless them. they are coming from a third world country into america land the opportunity. and you know, this is brand new to them, too. they probably feel like they won the lottery in a way. and it's a new life for them. they just need a adjust to the american life and learn to obey the laws here and kind of behave. >> well. >> ainsley: well the local reporter talked to one haitian who has a store there who used to work at tyson foods which is located there. he said he came there for the money for tyson foods. the reporter called tie sons and said how many migrant teens work for you on the third shift and the reporter did not hear back. you said we need a president who will enforce
