it's hard to even say these words. 30 years since the loma prieta earthquake.october 17th, 1989. time flies. hi-def doppler. a bunch of thunderstorms have erupted over the spine of the sierra and blowing off the central valley and the same thing will happen again tomorrow. there's just a whiff of that moisture that's ignited a few showers right on top of the observatory on one of the windiest roads of the bay area. there's at least the legend says there's one curve in the road between san jose and observatory for every day of the year. 365 curves. it's a windy ride but nice finish once you get up to the observatory which is open to the public. as we have a look at the west coast, low pressure sinking into the south. triggering a few thunderstorms over the sierra. that will be the case again tomorrow. but the low clouds should finally begin to ease up. tonight the diagonal flow of the clouds come in and back they go. but distinctly clearer skies by tomorrow night. and in the futurecast, high pressure is building in. it will warm to near 90 degrees inland in the
