this hospital in oakland is one of eight bay area hospitals, plus there is one in long beach, where nurses have called for a one-day strike over a contract dispute. the last strike was in september. we have video of that to show you. this dispute going on since then. today 4,000 nurses will walk off the job at 7 a.m.. they say sutter health is asking for too many concessions in this contract. they say, 150 concessions that will cost the nurses money, more out-of-pocket for health care and it will ultimately affect patient care. the hospital claims nurses are well paid. in fact the average fulltime nurse makes $160,000 a year not only that, but that summit nurses have received a 22% pay increase over the last three years. most residents in oakland have received only a 3% increase in that same timeframe. as for today, how the hospitals will move forward and function, they are bringing in temporary nurses. the temporary contract requires those nurses work a certain amount of hours that is going to force a lock-out of the regular nurses tomorrow. you will remember in september when temporary n
