below ten miles per hour, and even lighter in some of the areas around los angeles, as well as long beachd then still for some of the upper elevations. it may be breezy, but definitely not as dangerous and not as windy as what we are seeing right now. so we are in the middle of the peak of those winds for this wind event. we'll continue to monitor the situation as we may see some of those embers spreading, but hopefully that is not the case and we get more containment as conditions improve....

malibu hills, 63 miles an hour lax, 46 miles an hour, and long beach at 31 miles an hour. here's a look at the satellite over the past few hours from this afternoon, you can see that smoke plume being generated right about here. and that's that offshore wind. so it's moving from land to sea. that is the dry wind event that we typically correlate to a high fire danger. and unfortunately that's what we have right now showing you the current conditions around the fire zone 67 degrees. excuse me. current wind gust of 31 miles an hour. and what's interesting with this pattern, we've seen this fire grow rapidly, but we've actually seen some much stronger winds elsewhere in southern california. now, this particular forecast model kind of lumps everything together. the wind, the wind direction, the relative humidity. and it puts a scale here. so as you can see, the focus is down in southern california once again. so this is tomorrow morning 8 a.m. this is tomorrow afternoon, 5 p.m. the tomorrow afternoon, 5 p.m. the still elevated fire danger. so once again, extreme fire danger fo
