cool and comfortable along the coastline but thinking we may need a jacket and long sleeves into the afternoon with a few peaks sunshine in san francisco. 62 degrees there. 60 in half moon bay. let's toss things over to mike. >> quick work. fire over here at berkeley, crews around scene. chp arrive, fire crew arrive, circle around and the flames die down. they were going up pretty high right here off the ashby avenue off-ramp. all these folks were slowing as the commute built right here. again, west 80 at ashby. off ramp closed for a few minutes as, again, fire crews are on scene. but the flames are gone. just smoke in the area. that was a big change, changed a lot. fire burst off, lots of flames and distraction and slowing. some recovery now. no problems at the bay bridge. should see the metering lights turn on in ten minutes. maybe a little longer because it's friday with a lighter commute. the rest of the bay shows a smooth flow of traffic. i'm tracking this crash in san ramon. and san mateo bridge, westbound, your commute direction looks great. no problems across on the peninsula. back to you. >> thank you

peaks late tonight. everything i've looked at i was researching this all morning long. this could be the best in a long time. the only hindrance is the fact the moon will be bright. it's not a big deal. more meteors than usual. 160-200 per hour at peak. where do you look? generally anywhere up. but mostly to the northeast. the best viewing after midnight but the peak from 3:00 a.m. to dawn. just find a spot that's not a lot of city lights. but importantly where you can see the entire sky. should be great viewing. that's late tonight primarily after midnight. and i put a post on my facebook page if you want to check it out. mean time, clouds are building now. i think after the storms end tonight, the skies should clear. there could be low cloud developing lat rains heavily in the spot you are. sky tower is depicting an area of storms moving across the peninsula. they'll kind of meet up with a sea breeze late today and get going.pthe same storm that prodl the rain for us over the weekend is stuck. it's producing torrential rain in louisiana and they play have more flood -
