fox 29's jenny joyce live at the lonnie young recreation center, in east germantown where the familyll happened. right, jenny? >> police are saying they're unsure how this boy was shot. the family is claiming it happened on the playground at this rec center in east germantown. police aren't so sure that's the case. they say they found no evidence, and they have no witnesses of any type of shooting. police were notified of the shooting after 5:00 p.m. they returned to the scene. police brought the boy to his grandmother's house, police hold that location, the 6300 block of north 21st street as a crime scene, and they plan to have a search warrant since they have no weapon yet recovered. while there may have been minimal evidence because of the type of shooting it was minor shooting involving his foot, there were hundreds of parents and children at the lonnie young recreation center, and strange no one saw anything or heard anything. >> the playgrounds, the rec center in the 1100 block every east chelten was crowded with over 100 children playing organized basketball leagues, playing o

lonnie quinn has been monitoring new jersey rain storms. >> looks better for just about everybody out there. but boy, our four-hour time period came down in buckets for a select few. westchester reporting the temperatures around the area -- westchester reporting temperatures around the area, upper 70s, 80s for some folks. we didn't find 90 degrees not in new york city today. so kristine was right. the heat wave ended yesterday with that 90. what i see right now in new york city is the sky that's mostly cloudy. temperatures come in 80 degrees as of right now. headlines look like this. we have definitely had some storms popping up. they have been isolated only for a few of you out there. some you have haven't seen anything. if you are on the eastern side of the hudson, nothing. the western side of the hudson that's where the activity has been and one of those cells just didn't budge. it just sat and salt and rained and poured for hours. take a look at your rainfall estimates from doppler and our vortex system here. you're going to notice that light green color anywhere from half inch to
