lonnie?reporter: yes, matt and natasha, you can see there's still some police officers here on scene. we're at montana avenue and capitol and you can see a couple of the cars that were here earlier left the scene but here's what we know. about two hours ago, police were trying to arrest someone at a home here on capitol avenue. during the that attempt to try to arrest this person, there was some sort of struggle involved. now, we're hearing from witnesses, pepper spray was used. police officers left the house, came back, made another attempt to try to arrest this individual. there was another struggle. at some point, the individual was injured. he was taken away. eventually surroundeendered but police are still here on scene gathering all the facts so still a lot of questions we don't know. we did notice a number of cars leaving the scene but there's still a few down the hill here gathering all the information. we're live here, lonnie riviera, abc7 news >>> now let's get back to our other bre

lonnie rivera is joining us live in san jose. >> reporter: yes. good morning, jesse -- reggie. this ramp just opened a short time ago and it was closed as investigators gather details in this police-involved shooting. here is a look at the scene from a short time ago. police cars were on scene gathering evidence and here is what police tell us. so at 11:30 last night chp responded to a vehicle collision on the connector from northbound 101 to northbound 880. something happened while those officers were handling that traffic stop. and shots were fired. police say no officer was injured by a suspect was injured and taken to the hospital. nonlife-threatening injuries. now investigators immediately closed the nearby ramp and that is where they were most of the morning. we know this black jetta parked here on the ramp, and this time we don't know what role it is playing in the investigation but it was here all morning and overnight. it could be possible evidence. the rear window of that jetta has several holes that look like bullet holes. so just a little while ago, that car was tow

lonny quinn of wcbs is tracking the storms. good morning. >> good morning, everybody.ake a look at the whole usa. there will be more problems on the west coast. quiet in the mid section of the country. the biggest storm on the eastern half of the country. let's zoom in tight to show you where the center of circulation is. right now it's right here, right around ashville, north carolina. this will push offshore, move to the northeast, become a nor'easter but the biggest risk activity around the mid section of florida, some of the tornadoes are possibly intense. isolated large hail and straight line winds. wind is an issue from the bottom of florida up into portions of new england. look at this. wind advisories from the blue ridge mountains in virginia to the green mountains of vermont. it is the red areas from new york city, boston with high wind warnings. could see winds blowing 50, 60 miles per hour in the big cities. there will be snow? not on the coast. you have to go inland. specks of purple could be a foot, foot and a half of snow. but wind is the problem with the

lonnie quinn of our new york station wcbs is tracking the storm.ood morning. >> good morning charlie. good morning everybody. here is what the east coast storm looks like, it will become a nor'easter later today. the midsection is quiet. a lot of activity on the west coast. let's zoom in and show what's going on. the first thing you'll notice, this spin, the storm system off the pacific northwest, there's another storm system around the nevada-utah border. the first system will move due south. as it does so it will continue to drench the california coastline. big snows inland. that second system will move into the norther plains, eventually into the midwest, putting some snow down as well. not the big numbers, but you'll find the mountain ranges out west, snow nonetheless. there's one storm going down the california coastline. the second storm, as it pushes through the northern plains, dropping snow, eventually fizzles out by the time you get to late wednesday, going into thursday. as far as the snow totals go, i'm talking maybe three, four-day tot
