lonnie rivera joins us now. do investigators have any idea what caused this fire? >> reporter: yes, eric and kristen. they believe it is tied to that transformer explosion, but they're not really sure why it ignited after that. neighbors heard a pop, and then they saw flames out of their window. but many were concerned about some goats that live just on that hillside there. and you'll see why they're so worried. in some video you'll only see on abc7 news. fire crews battled this grass fire from several angles surrounding this milpitas hillside. the grassy land is hope for about 20 goats. when the brush fire started, sky 7 was above. you could see the animals trapped between the flames and the fence, backed into a corner. >> before the sploepexplosion y could hear like electricity. and after that the fire started. it caught the whole hill on fire which was all the goats there. and the goats were running like crazy. >> reporter: just around noon fire emergency crews and animal control responded after a report of a transformer explosion. the fire ignited following the

lonnie rivera, abc 7 news. >>> a mentor dog was found dead inside of its owner's car. the owner reported murphy the german sheppard stolen on sunday from her front yard in castro valley. there was a $10,000 reward to find him. his owner believes he was killed somewhere else and returned to the home. no one witnessed the dog being taken. murphy helped other dogs socialize to get them ready for adoption. >>> in san francisco also, man that told a group of teenagers to stop recovering, it happened on felton street t. man asked him to stop because his young son that was playing in the area. police say at least 20 teenagers knocked him to the ground and kicked and punched him. one of them was arrested. >>> people flying to and from san francisco international airport there weekend can breathe a sigh of relief. any delays will not be caused by runway construction work. here's a live look outside from our sfo camera. gusty winds have postponed this weekend's paving project along the four runways. the work caused extensive delays and cancellations in repeat weeks. >>> the city

abc7 news reporter lonnie rivera has more. >> it shook the whole house and rattled everything. had no idea what it was. looked out the window and saw the smoke. >> reporter: neighbors on myrtle drive and concord heard a crash and then saw firefighters surrounding a scene of this white car. >> i hasn't to see the car alltor up. >> reporter: the wrecked white jeep still had branches on it from smashing in front of a tree before landing inside this montes surrey school. inside it appeared to be stuffed with suitcase, clothes and other personal belongings. many residents wade to see if the driver and any passenger survived. >> i saw them carrying one of the bodies away on a stretcher. she was alive at the time and the other one she had passed away. >> reporter: police spent several hours gathering evidence from the scene. s,s saw a police car chasing the white vehicle which had no tags. they say the car was traveling well above the speed limit, strauk a wall, went airborne with this tree and landed in the driveway of this school. >> just to give you an idea about the impact of this
