the current loop is going to be relocated around the fire station. mta will be working toward that once the sale goes through. the buses will be turning on ocean, stopping here. it is a liver station for the buses, pulling over to continue their way. we believe it is a great use of transportation, transit-oriented development because of this location, and its access to all the muni lines, affordable housing. there will be a new grocery store across leigh avenue that will be developed by avalon. they are 174 units of market- rate housing, right across the avenue extension. the walkable grocery opportunity for the residents. it is just great. chairperson mar: thank you. and thanks to the ocean avenue revitalization group. this sounds wonderful. colleagues, if there are no other questions, can we move this forward with a positive recommendation, without objection? nk

this kind we see here, this loop hardware, is extremely good for that. the reason this is not compliant, anybody know? it's in the state fire code. it's not in the building code. it says the levers have to return to close to the face of the door so that you don't, as you are walking out, you don't get caught on the doorknobs by the lever sticking out. this was $29.95.ñr is this considered readily achievable in a building? i would say yes, of course. 30 bucks, change your doorknob to a lever hardware, one that's actually complying with the fire code, that's readily achievable. and if you don't do it, it's a problem. the ada says you should be making these readily achievable barriers disappear. here is something we see all over san francisco. power door operators. so this business has a slight gentle slope up to the door and they could not put a level landing in in front of that door. and on the inside of the door, if you can see this, there is a ramp on the inside. can you see that on this slide? the ramp begins right at the door and goes up. the way that

there is a drawing showing when phase one went into operation and the old east loop ramps in existence. once we close to that, we were able to demolish those grants and start construction of phase two. that began september 20, 2010 and operations began december 11 of the same year. operations accommodated 18 buses within sight and laid out three crosswalks. the site is visibly open and easier to monitor now that the construction activities are completed. here is a photograph of what operations look like to date. the site plan here shows the location of the proposed to restrooms, that is in the center of the site. more specifically, there is a layout of where the restrooms would be. these would be available for all transit riders. sides would be posted only to transit riders using the terminal. any passenger using our facility would be able to use the restrooms. operations would be monday through friday 7:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. the restrooms will be key controlled by on site personnel. linc is our property manager. they will implement a secure system so that the restrooms remain secu

those who provide this back to the planning group, you end up with a feedback loop. we have constantly change this based on feedback from the citizens, police, and the advocates. our officers have given us the feedback to help them develop this over the years and they have played a role in helping us understand what works better turned down -- works better. when you get individuals involved, you can come up with exciting solutions. we not only involve the community but we are talking about what we have in the police department itself. there needs to be training. we need to have new procedures. from that outgrowth comes an officer who is a volunteer who would become involved in a new role that they have been specially selected for. we're looking at alternative options. we want them to maintain their safety skills and for them to get new skills that will allow them to intervene in a productive fashion. they will lead the intervention. they will not override supervision. this is the person that will have the responsibility for the immediate crisis. we expect them to use
