. >>> a lot of people will be cooking for thanksgiving but one man from san lorenzo is making dozens of pies as a labor of love. 89-year-old poncho the pie guy worked for decades at a speedish bakery in oakland. when he retired 25 years ago he continued his career after retiring from a swedish bakery, this time making pies for familieses friends and neighbors. he grows the fruit himself and makes the dough for the crust by hand. >> i get to make the dough,the pies and freeze the fruit and cut the apples and slice and put it together. >> and for all these years, he has done all the baking by himself. but this year, however, one of his 7 children esther is helping out with her dad's labor of love. >> i bet they're really good. >> awww. he grow everything himself and makes it by hand. >>> let's talk about the weather. >> no, let's talk about pies! i spoke to the ceo there, and i spoke to lorenzo simenelli, ceo of baker hughes, a ge company. i asked at what point does the situation turn where you may consider cutting your loss there's and stopping operations? take a listen to what they had to say >> venezuela is truly an enigma for us in the service industry most of the service industry has been there for 75, 80 years. you know, it's got the largest reserve base out there in the world. to ignore t walkit, walk away fm that as a service industry, we do so at our peril i think all the context of the discussion earlier, if we're having a looming supply problem that based on underinvestment, venezuela is a significant part of the solution to the ultimate problem. the unfortunate thing in this low-price environment, you know, we have got to get paid. cash flow and returns are important to us. to continue to work and do things where we don't get paid, get the returns, that's very, very challenging i think also, of course, the recent sanctions that have been put on the country are making it very difficult we're kind of the guys

over on 880, in san lorenzo traffic is crowded at hesperian there's no accidents southbound. in the northbound direction first reports of a crash near davis. here's the approach towards the bay bridge toll plaza. traffic backed up beyond highway 24 and a new accident coming in right along 24 as you approach 580. so if you are heading in through oakland, that's where we're seeing a lot of ght now. hat's a check of your traffic; over to you. >>> all right. we are starting off with a live look up in the high country. take a look at this. snow this morning up at donner summit. we definitely have a rain-snow mix in those higher elevations and some of the heaviest precipitation up the west slope of the sierra this morning. some of the heaviest precipitation here in the bay area, that would be in the east bay. we have seen these cells with rainfall off and on in the east bay for most of our morning commute. right now you can see a cell to the south here light rainfall over oakland, danville, as well. concord moderate rain to the north of walnut creek this morning. so certainly slick

all the congestion through the stretch southbound 880 out of san lorenzo. give yourself some extra time just getting to the san mateo bridge. then once you get on there speeds are slow in the westbound direction to foster city. about an 18-minute commute. highway 4 dealing with an accident westbound direction right near bailey you can see that backup stretching beyond pittsburg at this point. so very busy out there. be safe. let's check in with neda on the forecast. >>> of course, fog does impact your drive, as well.
