lori, give us the spread sheet.ead the love. >> i mean, weren't we just eulogizing brick and mortar? i mean, this is -- what a week. not only staples, but discretionary names are outperforming today. and you can pin it right back to better than expected, even surprisingly better than expected. a lot of analysts were looking for retailers to report losses. look at the performances for the week starting with the container store, up better than 40%. guess, best buy -- best buy announced its plan to save $600 million, better than expected earnings came out earlier this week. they said the tightening labor market, they pinpointed a reason why business is better. more people are spending money, real simple. amazon may still rule the world, but you know what? don't count out the mall stores. i mentioned guess, very common place to see in malls. but, you know, these guys are holding on. big lots, another example. pdh corporation, this is the owner of calvin klein and tommy hilfiger, inventory, management, everything's firin

cheryl: the thing is, lori, we are getting close to summer, we know what markets do in summer, you see a slowdown, there's been all the momentum and all new records for dow and s&p, the russell even, lori, does that stall out if we don't see more objection -- action in dc or maybe in fed meeting in june? >> the fed, if you really think about our coverage in the last couple of weeks has really taken a back seat. the drivers, catalysts, we have the the disappointing report on gdp and it was shrugged off. today we see reactionary market where it's been down around a little bit because quite frankly investors haven't been focused on the fed. they are in the process of digesting the statement. we know it's kind of in-between meeting because we are not hearing from yellen. it was a unanimous decision. we are getting more transparency going forward about what the path of rates will be so it's just another factor to put in and i have to say, i don't think it's going to be a boring slow summer. i think there's a lot more news. we have all the european applications coming. that'll be a huge fact

lori, what are you hearing? >> hi, there, liz, well, we were just listening to the conference call of 21st century fox. but first, let me give you background and tell you what the quarter looked like for our parent company 21st century fox. you mentioned rising revenue. yes, 4.6% gain in revenue to $7.56 billion. the problem there, it was weaker than the 56.3 billion analysts were looking for. what happened was it saw a decline in the film revenue. 3% decline in films because there was no comparable to the huge box office success of "deadpool." earnings were better than expected. fifty-four cents versus 48 cents per share in terms of expectation. the broadcasting unit was also mixed. we had the super bowl; right? on fox tv station. $500million in ad revenue. that somewhat offset weaker local advertising sales, some of the local tv stations. so on the conference call we were just listening to executive chairman murdock said frustrating for us all, in terms of the sky deal, they actually gave a time frame, which w

lori, why the numbers are going up right now? >> i'm thinking because delivery of vehicles is on track. this is not a surprise. not a huge impressive number, 4to 50,000 deliveries. a little bit of a wide margin in terms of delivery for first half of the vehicles. you have the model s sedan, model x sports utility. earlier the model 3, model for the masses, the lower-priced vehicle is on track for july delivery. david: jonathan, one thing tesla has that amazon never had, reliance, maybe not a reliance but a certain extent they're dependent on government subsidies, gas subsidies and everything else the states had to throw against them. will that be a hold on the stock? is that one reason -- one reason you didn't like it in the past. those things are kind of expiring now. what about that? >> it is certainly a risk, david. i look back even a decade under the bush administration, the ethanol companies were all the rage until those subsidies, those government regulations changed. certainly a risk when it comes to any of these green ene
