it's all part of a massive $123 million project near lorton. this is a live look at the traffic near the mixing bowl, which is already starting to build up and slow down as you can see. jane watrel is near lorton with more. how bad does it look, jane? >> well, it's getting slow down here, doreen. we're down to one lake of traffic along i-95 south of lorton in either direction. and in about 90 minutes, all of the lanes are going to close. it's one of the most heavily traveled highways on the east coast, with 250,000 motorists driving each way on i-95 in northern virginia. for truckers, it's often a traffic nightmare. >> it's really tough. a lot of stopping and traffic and stuff. it's really tough. >> reporter: the virginia department of transportation has be trying to fix one of the area's major traffic choke points by adding a fourth plain of traffic between the fairfax county parkway and route 123. a major closure is about to take place to move the project along. >> we have to remove the overhead sign expansion that goes from the current lane

. >> reporter: we're staying on top of breaking news out of lorton, virginia. sky fox live over the scene of an all-out manhunt this is the area of who rode in lorton, virginia, off of vox road. a man abducted a woman from the plan keepia-springfield metro stop around 10:00, drove her around for an hour in the trunk of her car and let her out. she immediately called 911 and from there, police spotted the car and chased it. that is where it crashed and that is the vehicle. the suspect got out and took off and policia on the hunt. they believe he's armed with a handgun. if you live in the area, stay in the house. lock your doors and windows. we will stay on top of the situation and any new details, we'll pass them along. >>> a possible swine flu outbreak is looming as kids head back to school. the president got an update on the nation's preparedness today. >> also, we're making progress on developing a safe and effective h1n1 flu vaccine. we expect a flu shot program will begin soon. this program will be completely voluntary and it will be strongly recomed. >> re

early sunday morning, an officer found them alone in a car in the lorton area. police say they do not think she gave the teenager alcohol. they are investigating their relationship, though, and more charges could follow. >>> take a look at this sketch now of a man who carjacked a woman and led police on a wild chase. investigators in prince william county say he stole a woman's suv at gunpoint last thursday. he then drove her all the way into maryland while police chased him. that chase ended with a crash in prince george's county. the suspect then took off running and has not been caught. >> a man suspected of killing a pastor and three others at a home in farmville, virginia, will remain behind bars. 20-year-old richard mccroskey made his first court appearance yesterday. he was assigned to a public defender and ordered to stay in jail until a preliminary hearing in january. mccroskey is charged in the murder of mark niederbrock, a presbyterian pastor. authorities also suspect that he killed three other people, although he's not yet been charged in those death
