oscar grant supporters say they're planning to shut down all bay area ports on saturday to call on a los angeles county judge to give former bart police officer johannes mehserle the maximum sentence. they've worked out a deal with oakland's long shoreman's union to shut the port down in support. protestors want the judge to send him to 14 years in prison following his involuntary manslaughter conviction in july. mehserle shot and killed oscar grant while grant laid face down on a platform on a fruitdale bart station in 2009. mehserle said he thought he was using his taser. he's scheduled to be sentenced november 5th. >> state senator leland yee says he's being punished for voting against the budget. he's been stripped of his post of the senate. he killed the bill for tax relief and they reintroduced it without his name on it. he says he refused to vote because it included devastating cuts to schools, social services and healthcare. >> 20 years after anita hill accused clarence thomas of sexual harassment, his wife is asking for an apology. the accusation rocked his confirmation hearings in 1991
