that's nbc's scott cohn joining us from los gatos, california.ng. at least 160 people have died, hundreds more are unaccounted for. floodwaters have receded in many areas, revealed the extent of the destruction. in germany, rescuers had to check flooded cars and trucks for victims. army tanks pulled vehicles out of the water. thousands of germans are now without homes, after the disaster destroyed their residences. take a look at this video of floodwater carrying a house down a river before it crashed into trees and knocked them down. just one dramatic piece of video we've seen there. we've also learned about the deaths of 12 disabled residents at a care facility. they were trapped on the first floor and drowned before aid workers could arrive. also in eastern belgium, train lines and roads remin blocked. authorities are rushing to provide drinking water to residents without potable supplies. in the netherlands, soldiers and firefighters are working to reinforce dikes and prevent flooding. we cannot precisely say how much all of this is due to cl
