we committed to working alongside our colleagues, like lou frederick, senator lou frederick, and state representative janel bynum on fundamental reforms to criminal justice. many of the reforms have been passed in the legislative session. we agreed to continue to work with others in the community, the community level to listen, to hear, to understand and pass fundamental reforms. i'm now engaging with our citizen review commission as well as the portland committee on community engaged policing around reimagining what local policing can look like, what precinct policing can look like and there are many other opportunities for us to work with the community directly and as we proceed with this, i'm going to continue to ask the community to work with me. i'm going to continue to ask our colleagues to work with me. i'm going to continue to ask the governor and our state legislature to work with me. and so this is a long road ahead of us. but we know that the dead end is violence. that is a dead end street. we don't want to be in that cul-de-sac. we want to focus our information, focus our p
