. >> loudon valley high school coach danny mcgrath was fired from his duties last week. the school says by law they can't say, why but some parents say it was because mcgrath was a bit too yoke spoken about players safety. >> reporter: loudoun county public schools insist the controversial firing of football coach danny mcgrath had nothing to do over the recent battle of player safety. last month two parents equipped their child's football helmets with impact sensors. coach mcgrath allowed players to wear the sensors, but the school made players remove them as they are not approved by the virginia high school league or any national sanctioning organization that oversees equipment for football. last friday mcgrath was suddenly fired. tonight parents, students and former players attended loudoun valley's first regular season game showing support for mcgrath. >> he was always worried about our safety. if it was really hot outside, he made sure we got a lot of breaks and a lot of water and we always took our helmets off in hitting lines to make sure we didn't leave our head
