through loudoun county, some very strong storms right now. no severe thunderstorm warnings but i wouldn't be surprised any minute to see one of these go severe, especially right around damascus, this is just to the south and east of mt. airy. and then down towards gaithersburg, very heavy rain around gaithersburg, over towards montgomery village and follow that back toward the west and we're looking at the bluemont area. right along route 7 along 287, some very strong storms with this. this is the storm that did have the tornado warning associated with it earlier combining with another storm. so we're no longer talking about tornado threat here, at least for this storm, but we are talking about a lot of wind, a lot of very heavy rain and lightning too. as we move to the east right around poolsville, around 28 up towards barnsville and over towards gaithersburg, as i mentioned, laytonsville seeing some of that heavy rain. look at all of the lightning strikes. in northern portions of montgomery county just to the south of mt. aerie. this storm

you can see them affecting northern loudoun.o portions of southern washington and western frederick county. this is right around brunswick, lovettsville. this is tw247. you're probably seeing very heavy rain and it's going to continue moving to the east. 20 to 30 miles an hour. so jefferson in about 12 minutes. braddock, that's going to come in in about 22 minutes and ballinger creek in 27 minutes. so it is moving that way, right up towards frederick maryland. i do expect it to be in your area in about the next half hour if it's able to hold together. numerous thunderstorms, new warning down in the southern shenandoah valley. these storms also moving our way and eventually they'll cross over and make their way towards the i-95 corridor. most likely after about 9:00, 10:00 tonight so most of the evening will we okay but then the overnight hours, expect showers to move in. temperatures in the low to mid-60s, even the upper 60s overnight. then tomorrow temperatures about 10 degrees cooler than where they were today with thunderstor
