louie? good morning. presenter: good morning, supervisors. my name is annie louie from gini and o'connel. i bring you the audit results for fiscal year 14-15. first i would like to go over the scope of the audit that is performed by our firm. we cover the city's general financial statements known as the cafr. we report on the single audits and the retirement system and successor agency and the redevelopment agency and the general hospital and required communication. and current year assessment. we did issue an unmodified opinion which is a higher level of assurance you can receive through the audit and the financial reporting as well as over compliance. the second report which is the report to the government audit and oversight commute is to authorize the communication to the board regarding communication on the audit. with that, there are two types of required communications that we report to the board at the beginning of the audit. so we presented in the fiscal year 14-15 audit service plan on our responsibility under u.s. generally accepte

. >> reporter david louie is live where he talked with the young family rescued from the building. david? >> reporter: you can see that this is still an active scene. witnesses tell me that they believe the fire started in an unoccupied unit on the second floor here at the twin pines manor apartment, and the fire spread quickly. sky 7 hd was overhead as smoke rose from the complex. public safety captain shawn ahern said two residents were transported to the hospital. there were a lot of people home when the fire was reported just before 1:00 p.m. more than 30 people were evacuated. a resident said she smelled smoke that appeared to be burnt food left on the stove. first responders said the fire spread down a hallway, so they were prepared to evacuate residents who were standing outside on the balconies. we talked to a family and mother of tw kids, a 1-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son who climbed down a fire ladder to safety. >> the fire was really going and there was a lot of black smoke coming out of number 42 apartment. right away the manager called the fire department and th

david louie was first to tweet about it. he's live tonight in cupertino at the scene of the raid.rter: ama, the counterfeit $20 bills have been popping up in 30 states over the past year and a half. detectives traced those bills to this cupertino apartment building and the detective now have a man in custody who is facing felony charges here in california and in virginia. the manufacturing of counterfeit bills was going on inside this apartment complex in cupertino right next to some apple offices. the sheriff's office showed off ink jet printers and 100% cotton paper that were used. the fake $20 bills were printed in layers showing some levels of sophistication. but to the naked eye, the bills might be difficult to detect. the bills shown on the top is real. the one below is one that is seized. >> mr. aston alone was responsible for the shipward of upwards of 2,000 packages a year of counterfeit currency linked to 30 different states and likely hundreds of thousands of counterfit currency being flooded into our economy. >> reporter: detectives believe he was making over $100,000
