she sat down with abc 7 news reporter david louie earlier today with insights on blasey ford and joins us live from palo alto. david? >> reporter: exactly two months ago, july 20th, dr. blasey ford was able to secure a private meeting with congresswoman eshoo. congresswoman eshoo was able to sit down with blasey ford, who was then encouraged to write down details of their conversation. it was put in a letter and then forwarded to senator dianne feinstein, who is the ranking member of the senate judiciary committee. >> we had never met before. i had never met she has met she hadn't met me. she called my office and asked to meet with me. >> reporter: she had no idea what was on dr. blasey ford's mind. over the next hour and a half, she laid out the details of what happened in high school, sometimes with clarity, sometimes not. >> there were many things that she recalled very clearly. there were other things she wasn't sure of. >> reporter: those details will have to await the hearing before the senate judiciary committee. however, representative eshoo saw in blasey ford an intelligent pe
