louisiana. know what 11 authorities in central california are searching tonight for six inmates who used a homemade rope to escape from a county jail, the mayor said. county sheriff's departmente inmates, including one from vallejo, should all be considered armed and dangerous. the escape happened last night when the inmates somehow gained access to the jail's roof and then used a rope to scale down the side of the building. the inmates in between 19 and 22 years old. five of the six were doing time for violent felonies, including murder. sanders a homicide detectives are investigating two shootings this weekend. the first happened last night at about 7 30 at a homeless encampment near this intersection of woz way and oz array avenue near the children's discovery museum officers arrived to find a man with the least one gunshot. he later died at the hospital. the second deadly shooting was reported at about 2 30 this morning on mammoth drive near the regional medical center. the victim died at the scene. santa clara county coroner's office says the victim's identity will be released later after next of kin is notified. so far, there have been no arrests in either shooting. com
