but they are nearing record. lowes here in cologne. are set to possibly break the 2018 record low so, so the water is really coming down here and this is a major problem for ships trying to move up and down the ryan at now. shipping it, it moves, most of germany's goods are up and down this river. and when the water is below one and a half meters, those ships cannot move. and that is the case in some parts of the river right now . so ships are having to offload cargo down to 25 percent even of what they were meant to carry. and this is leading to delays and shipping, and that's leading to higher costs. and unfortunately, forecast right now for this water coming up at all, i don't look likely in the near future. now, normally the water levels only begin to sink around this time of year. what has caused the river to dry up to this extent already now? well, we've had very little rain in recent weeks and prolonged periods of high temperatures . and so this has led to the water levels dropping. as you said, usually the high point comes in o
