low clouds moving in. santa rosa, sonoma county airport which is different from downtown says fog about half mile visibility. most locations say mostly cloudy. some of the low clouds moving in that was not the case yesterday morning. temperatures on the high side for this time of year santa rosa should be 86 we're going 81 today. so we've been so far below average, yes, we're getting closer but still slightly below for those inland. san jose should be 83. san francisco 68 exactly where you should be on the high side for july 19. so we're getting there. it's close but temperatures continue to be inland slightly below average. everything's been dominated by that system one system after another which continues to drop in and guess what? some of the longer range forecast models drop another one in next week. that would be around monday. so i mean the beat goes on. it really does. once this system ejects out allows high pressure to build in. west-southwest at fairfield. west-southwest at vacaville. west 12 at s

you can see a lot of the low clouds still there. they have lifted, moved inland, 49 now sonoma county airport, 49 also at the napa airport so that jibes with downtown. 53 san rafael, san francisco the mid-50s, more cloud cover peninsula south bay and also the east bay where a strong system produced thunderstorm activity near shasta there yesterday. that's the source of our cool weather. so low clouds give way to sunshine, breezy, maybe a little windy at times for some but more sun today, an earlier burnoff on that fog bank so anywhere from 60s, 70s to near 80 degrees but still on the cool side, napa 75, novato 73, 77 pittsburgh, walnut creek 73, hayward 68, alameda at 63, 73 santa clara, went with 180 morgan hill, the lone outpost. fremont 70 and then 60s, 70s on the peninsula, 50s, 60s to near 70 degrees, though towards santa cruz and capitola but in that fog it's tough to burn off and get very warm. not much change through saturday. i think slightly inland temperatures will come up sunday, monday. >> 6:11. >>> getting tough on pro

low clouds and fog will peel back to the coast. we will see a few high clouds and cool weather as we continue this pattern into august tomorrow. so here's a look at the fog. you will notice all the way toward the delta. but by 10:00, 11:00, you notice that we get a little sunshine here along the coast. we it of will continue that theme as you notice the temperatures beginning to respond to that sun with just mainly 60s and 70s. a couple 80s further south. looks like at least for the first few days of the work week it is going to be chilly. we have an area of low pressure setting up along the pacific northwest. here's a large scale satellite view. notice the we have the counter clockwise rotation here. a big area of high pressure in the four corners region and the flow around that bringing up that moisture. that's what has been bringing the showers into the sierra nevada. afternoon heating and the storms popping once again today. then the counter clockwise rotation with an area of low pressure to the north and west of us. that will

here we are and here is this area of low pressure. continues to push on towards the east, it will bring us a little bit more in the way of a cooler air mass. look for temperatures to remain somewhat below normal. temperatures for this time of the year. right through tuesday. by wednesday, thursday and friday, high pressure will build back in and that will result in temperatures, especially in the east bay, climbing back to the 90s. we start off tomorrow morning, 5:00 a.m. with the low clouds and fog spinning out to the east. then it slowly begins to burn back to the coast around lunchtime. we'll keep pockets of fog right near the coast. i want to point out in the north bay, you are going to get in more of a northerly wind component. more clearing there. 60s there, 70s around the bay and touching mid to low 80s, extreme east bay communities. 75 in cupertino. san jose 76. we'll keep the mid to low 60s at the coast. palo alto under a 75 degree. san francisco 64 in the north bay. get the northerly winds so sunshine for you there. 75 petal
