a wet tuesday, wednesday with sierra snow to lowell -- low elevations. 47 million view.ittle fog. napa 45, 48 santa rosa and 47 in fairfield. here's how things look in the sierra. we did have chains earlier on 80 but now that's open and still some chains on u.s. 50 as all the weather moves off to the east and we get just a little break with all that storm system out in the pacific. this is the next one in line. this one will start to produce rain over the north bay by late tomorrow afternoon and then spread over the entire area by tomorrow night. and the showers and the cold air will continue into wednesday. here's how it looks on the east coast. snow blankets the entire east coast from the south of new york, philadelphia, all the way up to boston all the way into the northeast and no sign of this ending for today. so another foot to foot and a half of snow for east coast locations. travel plans back there are just put on hold. for us though some sunshine today. they said temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s throughout much of the bay area. 58 though in oakland.
