i'm extremely proud to be here on behalf of lowell high school and the students in front of you.'m also a product of the junior rotc class from mission high school and back here after 23 years of active service. i'd like to present to you without further ado the the number one academic public school jrtv program. this gentleman on my right to your left is cadet -- jordan wong, michael>! mitchell wong. they're actually brothers,<-fb3g@y the wong brothersqyqqj here. and,í=o years the lowell team has been there four years in a row and it had never been done before and competed for the championship two out of the four years so i'm extremely proud of them. every year, summer,óéc they five day grueling6xe pretty much like jeopardy. we're going to share with you a two minute video what any went through and share with you a couple of questions and see if we can answer them out here, a couple of questions that these guys had to answer during the competition. so, again, thank you for having us, and i'll play the video here in a second. this is not mine. this is yours. >> and we're going to

so for example at maybe a high end school like lowell ore gunn you might have bullying because you're not taking enough ap class. i have heard this and there is so mush pressure and criticized by the peers if they're not smart enough. in other schools it's the opposite and bullied because they are smart when that is not the krult. maybe in texas where it's a different culture that we saw in the movie that perhaps football is everything and if a child isn't good at sports they're an outcast. i would like to ask how or if addressing the cultural needs at each school how can we -- is this all one way of doing this, or do you feel there are different needs in different communities? and i think perhaps the law enforcement folks feel the cultures in the communities and see that come out in the adults. i would like to hear about how do you affect a culture and even in san francisco we have many cultures affecting what is valued, what is criticized. >> you know i think that richard touched upon this. it's a relationship of power and it's clearly going to differ from community to community; ri

high wind. it looks like it will take a while for things to die down. lowell, how is it looking? >> not bad. it was worse earlier today. the wind has died down and will continue to do so if through the evening. we saw wind gusts up to 45 miles an hour in some spots. downtown baltimore, 24 miles an hour. out west, it is still 21 miles an hour. they had 10 inches of snow in western maryland. ocean city had 21 miles per hour as well. current conditions at the airport, 37 degrees. the sustained wind is around 8 miles an hour of the west. a lot of folks are talking about a white christmas. we could have a flurry christmas. i will explain, coming up. >> we will check back with lowell in a bit. first, we have live team coverage of the weather. we understand pg&e is preparing for potential problems. >> they have been preparing all day, starting this morning. i want you to see how it looks out here. it looks like a ghost town. there are not many people walking around downtown because of the cold and windy conditions. those who are out here are bundled up and trying to get to a warm place. bge is repo
