ben lowman saw well over 3 inches in those upper elevations. there, john villa around one and a half inches while sf near to an inch in san jose. right over a quarter of an inch. so quite the variety, especially depending on lower elevations, higher elevation areas. then, of course, the north bay really getting hit a little harder to as far as winds who was the hardest hit. their marine county got 79 miles per hour. peak wind gust sfo. 74 miles per hour. no surprise there that we saw that ground stop and claims just not being able to take off in those conditions. novato 60 miles per hour. oakland and redwood city also very impressive as well. so that's what you were feeling yesterday. and that's what caused a lot of those damages. reyna mentioned probably going to be getting out this morning, seeing some trees down in the neighborhood. now radar shows you are clear dry conditions for the bay area. this is something we hold on to all day long today. so something that we can look forward to a steady break from the rain and the winds for a few day

maybe more than that of inches in ben lowman would be surprised get that atmospheric river event may be some places there. look at more 4 to 6 inches. but lots of snow on the high country as well. and well, we're just adding to some very impressive totals. how about this? we're running above normal for the entire season for most of the bay area. in fact, for most of california. now we're looking at that. here are the totals expected for the entire season uc san francisco just over 20 to almost 23 inches for the season. running at 28 and one place that's below average for the entire season. that san jose there just over 12 and a half inches of rain. if they get another inch and a half, they're going to be above normal for the entire season. 2, you're looking at 27 inches in oakland. 36 inches in santa rosa. 27 inches in hayward and 19 inches in livermore. all those areas above normal for the entire year. all right, >> an east bay teen is recovering in the hospital tonight after a carjacking in the shooting. antioch, police say that they have made an arrest in this case. but the teen's

you can see ben lowman, so the santa cruz mountain area that's we're using a lot of higher totals there. >> over 8 tenths of an inch just over half an inch in redwood city, palo alto. also just over half an inch just under that in canfield, a san francisco 3 tense and oakland just under a quarter inch. so we're still seeing this rain come in. but we are catching a little bit of a break right now. it is a lull in the action. there will be more showers coming our way. and they're also be a lot of wind coming our way. this is that kind of perfectly formed low pressure system, though, that you can see also little bit of snow happening in the sierra at this hour to but notice we've got mostly light greens here. you can see where the heavier showers are kind of moved away from us. still a little bit. the santa cruz mountains, though you can see just to the west of los altos. but again, it's getting a little bit spotty right now, but don't let your guard down because we're really not done yet, folks, even though it's looking pretty good here on the peninsula as well with those light showers. h

but you can see we get to ben lowman.t number hops up to 2 inches. 2.8 in big sore, big sur and in santa barbara at 3.2, 5 inches or a 2 run to 7. so that's that's a rough ride there. so let's see how it works out here in the bay area tonight. we just have some clouds, but then in the overnight hours, by about 3 o'clock, we have some storms rolling in and you can see how heavy they get about 06:00am. so that could be some of these have the potential to be thunderstorms and very heavy downpours heading our way. that's about 8.45. so exceptionally difficult rush hour tomorrow and then we get kind of an unsettled scattered shower day until we get into our wednesday. and then this finally starts to track to the south and move out. and that's when we'll kind of be clear of it. so we also have wind coming with this because of that pressure gradient that's being set up with that low pressure system dropping to the south. so as you can see, everywhere with the exception basically of the north bay and solano county under that wind
