luckily this officer did survive. just as we spoke with you last i can tell you that crime scene has returned here to the scene. police tape remains here at tyson and rising sun. on the other side of it to the left, we can tell you that forensic units just re-examined that vehicle. then we saw them walk back to the front of rising sun pizza and go around the corner and head down that alley. now look at our video. our camera captured this exclusive video of an off duty officers, detective from northwest, uninjured walking with police. we're being told he is lucky to be alive this morning. here's what investigators say happened out here. two men, at least one of them entered as the off duty officer was waiting for his order. the robbers snatched $20 from the detective, then ordered him to get on the floor.

it did not get into the store and luckily no one was hurt. a follow-up on the controversial shooting of a mentally ill woman killed by a san jose police officer. that officer was cleared of any wrong doing. 19-year-old dain naiana showman was killed. she was holding a power drill painted to look like an assault weapon. this is cell phone video of what led up to the shooting. now the the shooting given what the drill looked like and showman calling 911 claiming she had an uzi. prosecutors said it was reasonable for the officer to think that the drill was actually a gun. showman's parents say they're disappointed with the decision. >> it was not a split-second decision. i mean the 911 call is going on for over 20 minutes. they had plenty of time to do something differently. >> we want to make sure no other parents have to go through this nightmare again. >> in the wake of their daughter's death, the showmans say they want to see all law enforcement officers go through mandatory crisis intervention training. >>> he's out of office but back in th
