it was concocted by ludendorff himself and germany did have a revolution. a revolution which began with a fleet, and this mutiny itself was quite interesting. you may remember germany had thrown all of these resources into building a high seas fleet to match the british at their own game. most of them had spent the bulk of the war sitting in port doing nothing. the admiralty of course concocted a scheme that as the war was ending for them to go out and die in a blaze of glory. the sailors did not want to die in a blaze of glory. they rose up and this mutiny spread to the army. not everywhere but particularly in some of the rear areas of north germany. eventually this revolution spread to both area -- area and then to berlin. germany had their own revolution and also their own version of the soviets which began spreading like mushrooms in russia. in germany, the worker and soldier soviets were not as radical. they voted themselves out of existence when i finally convened voting to cede power. the leader of the majority socialist faction will later take over
