high, thin clouds increasing from the west moving into the mid a lunchtime hour now. left over clouds from thunderstorms overnight and earlier this morning well off to our west. there's a live look up the tidal basin. cherry blossoms about to burst. the gloom is now the 20th through the 23rd. a little more patience. the warm weather is definitely accelerating that. 71 in the district, 72 in manassas, 70 in manchester, 69 in quantico. well into the '70s or the most part. 79 already in gaithersburg. culpeper at 77 as well as. as temperatures similar all across the mid-atlantic. there are the remnants of the thunder from complex that moved through ohio into west virginia and falling apart, moving into southwestern virginia. we are getting the left over clouds overhead. it is dissipating a little as it moves overhead. but just enough to possibly keep our temperatures to a degree or so cooler than our ongoing forecasts. we are still in the record challenging territory, but it will take a little more effort by the atmosphere and sun today. i still think we will make it to 8
