high waves still picking up to six meters high in much of luzon. please stay away from those coastal areas if possible if you're in the vicinities. indochina peninsula looking messy. chongqing still looking very hot. we're looking at 40 degrees on our thursday high. seoul at 32. tokyo at 29 degrees. here in north america, high pressure system will be dominating much of eastern canada and new england, northeastern portion all the way in towards the east of the united states. maybe some few showers in the great lakes. nothing too significant. but this one will be significant. it may be bringing severe thunderstorms just across northern plains. maybe in the mountains, elevation above 2,000 meters high, mountains in montana may even see early season snowfall due to the cold air that is coming in from the cold front. we will be seeing a few thunderstorms here in the florida peninsula as well. if we do, then the winds will be picking up to about 65 kilometers per hour. we still have fire weather warnings just across much of southwest f southwest. phoenix

monsoon is enhanced, so that combined with this storm will be bringing lots of rain still to northern luzonthe land is very, very saturated, so the flooding is going to be at high risk as well as storm surges and high winds brought by this storms to taiwan and china as well. now, this is severe tropical storm talas. this is already affecting the islands with highways up to about 8 meters high. it's affecting many regions in the pasting coast of japan with waves up to about 3 meters high. it killed one person in a prefecture in the tokay region as well as one went missing from the high waves due to this storm that brought the very strong winds. this is going to be continuing, and as it approaches japan, it will intensify. by tuesday evening, i think it's going to become a strong typhoon and keep its intensity as it approaches the pacific coast of central japan. probably would make landfall by friday. let's keep a very close eye on this system as it is a large and strong storm. elsewhere in japan, though, looking very sunny and dry, except for daytime heating. may be popping up thunderstorms

typhoon, this say strong typhoon moving in a northwest direction very slowly and threatening northern luzon. residents in low-lying and mountainous areas alerts against flooding is posted widely as well as people living in the coastal areas. these storms are bringing high waves up to about five meters in some places so please do stay away from those coastal areas. it is heading towards taiwan. as it does so it may weaken just a little bit but it's already affecting taiwan with showers and strong winds and as this typhoon gets closer it will become heavier and stronger, affecting okinawa on monday as well. now apart from that typhoon, we have a severe tropical storm talas which is going to be intensifying as well on saturday morning it will become a strong typhoon and it will be affecting the ogasawara islands in japan on monday. it is heading towards the north and towards japan so we really do want to track this system as well. now the active front is, looks like it's going to be moving away from japan. we've already had numerous flooding reports in kyushu and kan t kanto regions. 94.5 mill

so still, northern luzon looking at very high waves and heavy rain. we do really want to prepare for this one, as well. this is typhoon talas heading to the pacific side of japan. i think it's going to make landfall friday evening around kanto, pacific coast of japan. also already struggling with very strong winds. the waves are up to about 8 meters high. strong winds, we're talking about what would make people difficult for driving on the streets. and that is going to maintain its intensity and head towards us into our weekend. really do want to keep a very close eye on this system. it will bring lots of heavy rain, as well. accumulation for 48 hours looks like this. the islands affected by the outer bands. we are looking at 300 millimeters or more rain to come towards us. tok tokyo's already been affected with the outer bounds of this storm. we already had showers and sprinkles today. and chonqing looking hot there and seoul and tokyo looking at 27 degrees for our wednesday high. here in north america, we have a low pressure system in eastern canada
