unfortunately, it's tracking up towards luzon, that means more heavy rain coming into luzon which is already experiencing widespread flooding because of trami, which was the last tropical storm we saw yesterday making landfall in fujan province, if you remember. it made landfall and then it has moved down towards the south as a tropical depression remnant low in fact. and now it's still bringing that heavy rain, but back in towards the south of china now where last week we saw typhoon utor move through the south china sea and come in here through guangdong province, if you remember. these are areas that do not need anymore rain. maybe 250 millimeters heading over into vietnam for the next 24 hours. up towards the north as well in far eastern russia more flooding here. we've got some video of the situation in russia. this is being called the worst flooding in 120 years in russia's far east. impacting 50,000 people. and the forecast shows that conditions may even worsen. the amor river burst its banks after a month of unusually heavy rainfall hit the area through august. now, many fore

now moving away from the west coast of luzon. it dropped a tremendous amount of rainfall, damaging winds. landfall about 250 kilometer-per-hour winds. the storm just made landfall today but we also had one push through last week as well. we saw heavy rain totals from that, farther north with this one pushing through here as well. you're seeing these widespread, heavy accumulations across the philippines. very serious risk of flooding the next 24 to 48 hours. as this tracks west, inflow of moisture wrapping around it. even in manila, don't be surprised if you see low-lying accumulation of the water. and then into -- well, southern china, where the storm system is heading next. we had mangkhui push through, and jebi before that. this one looks like it will be farther to the northeast. it is expected to intensify. high winds and waves along with it, 100 to 250 millimeters generally expected out of this once it makes landfall about into the afternoon hours on wednesday. we want to continue to keep a very close eye on this very potent

this is out of northeastern luzon and really around that same area here. earlier on today where typhoon utor made landfall, the strongest typhoon to hit the philippines this year. and really the only typhoon thus far. landslides and floods cut off power and communications to this entire area. according to officials, one person has been killed, 14 others still missing. most fishermen. this was the hardest hit and landslides cut off access to get into that town here. really the only access road in and several houses were also flattened, just devastated by the strong winds out here. seas near the coast when this made landfall up to ten to 12 meters high. now it's moving towards the west out there into the south china sea. winds at 126, up to 180 kilometers per hour. but it's still expected to make a second landfall into guandong province and hanon. taiwan, something shooting off towards the knot, possibility of another storm system later in the week. let's quickly look towards europe. what is going on? well, we have a large low pressure area anchored over the

so what we're seeing is heavy rainfall across, well, much of luzon out here. still seeing about 200 millimeters. we've seen reports right around 1 hurkds millimeters in the northern portions of the philippines in the past 24 hours. this really looks like a decent risk of flooding in some areas here, even landslides. the good news is that the storm system itself is continuing to pull off here towards north. and what we're going to be seeing is that rainfall in the philippines start to decrease in intensity. you could still be seeing pop-up thunderstorms, but really the bulk of the rain is going to switch off towards the north impacting you there into taiwan still see about 200 millimeters here. and also seeing pretty gusty winds across the southern japanese islands along with high waves about three to six meters high in some areas here because the storm system's actually expected to continue to intensify. japan meteorological agency expects become a weak typhoon at one point before it starts to weaken out and continue to track off here towards the north. if you
