abc7 news senior education reporter lyanne melendez has a look at what they can expect.t could very well be any sleek cafeteria at a silicon valley startup. but this is wallenberg high school, a san francisco public school. our goal with these redesigns is to just give students a beautiful space that encourages them to eat, but also talk to their friends. so many of these cafeteria have like half a dozen other functions. they're also auditoriums. they're here where the school has assemblies and they deserve to be really beautiful and staff from student nutrition services took input from the students on how they wanted to redesign their cafeteria since 2015. thanks to money from a voter approved bond and private donations, 82 school cafeterias will have been redesigned in a period of almost ten years. another 30 are expected to be remodeled if and when another bond is passed. in the past several years, the school district has also focused on renovating cafeteria kitchens, while over the summer, wallenberg received new ovens. the rest of the kitchen is outdated. take the w
