lydia.igators are treating the discovery of a man's body along railroad tracks in niles canyon as a "suspicious death," the sheriff's department said. the man's body was discovered near the union pacific tracks in the canyon south of highway 84 and alameda creek, about 2:45 sunday afternoon, said sheriff's sgt. ray kelly. a hiker or jogger saw the body west of the intersection of highway 84 and palomares road a few miles east of fremont city limits and called police, he said.
