lydia cacho, we thank you very much forjoining us on hardtalk. thank you.. 0ur sunshine that we see believe it or not is linked to the extreme weather we've seen across other parts of europe. it's linked by the jet stream. this is the pattern that we've seen. a very undulating jet stream. it means slow moving weather. we've had low pressure bringing the rain across europe. that low pressure will move eastwards. eventually taking the rain away from germany. high pressure will build in across the uk, bringing dry weather. with the sunshine we had on thursday, temperatures in northern ireland reached 26 degrees, making it the warmest day of the year so far. it's going to be a warm start across belfast, temperatures at 16 degrees. we start with cloud across east anglia, but it will break up more readily. it's going to feel warmer. sunshine across england and wales. some patchy cloud developing. there will be spells of sunshine for northern ireland, but across western scotland, more of a breeze and more cloud. sunnier skies and warmer weather for eastern parts o

lydia cacho, we thank you very much for joining us on hardtalk. thank you.. sunshine did wonders for the temperatures on wednesday. aberdeenshire, one of the places that got above 25 degrees with scenes like this. lots of southern england saw similar temperatures as well. and over the next few days with more sunshine on the way those temperatures could have a little further to climb. it may be up into the high 20s and parts of the south over the weekend. but it's not all about sunshine, this is the earlier satellite picture from wednesday. you can see this cloud that has spilt in across scotland and northern ireland, that working down into england and wales as well. so a lot of places having a fair amount of cloud through thursday, maybe even given the odd light shower in eastern england. but that cloud will tend to break. we will see spells of sunshine. i think the best of those across parts of northern england, northern ireland and a good part of scotland. and in the sunniest places, temperatures will get up to 25, maybe 26 degrees. but some eastern parts
