( james ) thanks lydia.njured after a car crashed into a donut shop in the south bay. it happened over the weekend at donut basket in milpitas. investigators say a driver accidentally stepped on the gas pedal instead of the breaks. the car jumped the curb, hitting a man who was walking by. the victim was taken to a trauma center with non-life threatening injuries. a woman who owns a salon in the same shopping center says this is the second time a car has crahsed into the donut shop. ( darya ) firefighters quickly put out a fire at the santa rosa seafood market and restaurant. crews say the fire caused 400-thousand dollars worth of damage. it mainly burned in the storage room. there was minor smoke damage to the market and the restaurant... but the fire was contained in 30 minutes. ( james ) police arrested a man for having 15 pounds of meth in gilroy. officers say juan quintero-sicarios was bring large quantities of meth into gilroy. a search warrant was also served at his home in monterey county. police say

( darya ) officials on hawaii's big island are pleading with people to stay away from the leilani estates. lava and fumes are seeping through giant cracks in the ground after the kilauea volcano erupted. 35 buildings... including 26 homes ha already been destroyed. 17-hundred people were forced out of their homes. the eruptions are also releasing high levels of sulfur dioxide into the air... which can be deadly. the volcano was less active overnight. but scientists warn it'

( james ) it happened last night after officers tried to pull over the stolen car in san jose. the 13-year-old driver sped off when the officers tried to pull the car over. the stolen honda crashed with a truck head on shortly after. two other teen passengers tried to run away... but were stopped by officers. another 13-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. the driver of the truck is expected to be ok. the 13-year-old driver was trapped in the car but is also going to recover. kron 4's lydia pantazes explains what happened. at approximately 2:15, a motorist received a flat tire while traveling on sr-24, through the caldecott tunnel. the motorist pulled over to the center median just west of the tunnels and awaited assistance. shortly after, a cal-trans tow truck driver arrived and made contact with the motorist. when the cal-trans worker attempted to get the motorist to drive his vehicle to the right shoulder, a verbal altercation occurred. at some point in the altercation the motorist drew a handgun and pointed it at the cal-trans worker. the motorist then pointed the handgun up and discharged a few rounds into the air. a friend of the motorist arrived, and they both fled the scene. chp units arrived on scene and shut down all lanes of sr-24 wb, in order to process the scene. officers went to the suspect's residence and placed him into custody without incident. the cal-trans worker did not receive any injuries as a result of this incident.
