lyndsey had abroken arm, broken brokens in her ankle and foot, a broken femur. she's had half a dozen surgeries. >> i have one leg shorter. go through. >> reporter: she also misses her friend. head lights came at them head on. lyndsey says it all happened in seconds. >> it's traumatizing still to this day. being able to remember it as clearly as i do. >> reporter: police say david botnum was driving drunk and texting in those seconds before the crash. he pled guilty. lyndsey spoke at the sentencing. >> i'm so sorry something this i wish there was something, anything i could have done to save your precious life that night. >> it was hard, it was probably like the hardest thing to do. but i felt like i spoke for linea. >> lyndsey says she's satisfied with the sentence even though nothing will take back what happened. >> it's pretty fresh. feels like i almost just popped into a new life when it just started a whole new life. with like different goals. >> she was a 17-year-old high school student, now she's about to be a new mom. >> i'm happy. >> the baby is due in
