m.j. acosta joins us with the story. m.j.? >>reporter: well, eric, crews working late into sunday night after that car crashed into the canal at the end of the dead-end street.let's get you to the video from the scene sunday night. lauderhill rescue arrived with dive crews. they say four people were inside that car at the time of the crash. one person was able to help. the other three were taken to area hospitals but two of those victims died. now the car was pulled out of the water late sunday night as investigators continue to piece all of this together. >> we are asking the community if you we here at that specific time and location, you may have seen something or recorded something on your phone. we're asking you to please contact the police department because you may have the piece we're looking for of the puzzle. >>reporter: the cause of the crash is still under review this morning. victims have not been released. in lauderhill, m.j. acosta, local 10 news. >>> also developing this morning a search for the shooters after

m.j. acosta joins us live from laudedeill with the latest. >>reporter: jacey and eric, crews working late into sunday night to get that water out of that can. now investigators trying to piece all of this together trying to figure out how two people ended up dead and the car ended up in the canal. authorities say a car crashed mood a small bought of water. lauderhill fire rescue confirming to local 10 say they spoke to one person inside the car. the other three passengers were taken to nearby hospitals in critical condition. two of those victims died. >> we do have some witnesses on the scene. one of them happened to be the individual on the embankment. so my investigators are length at this point but again, it's very early in the investigation. >> the mangled car was pulled out of the water sunday night. investigators are watching anyone with information to step forward to help them pipie this all together. >> if you were here at this specific time or location, you may have seen something or rec
