i'm joined now by kimberly macarthur from the a political foundation which is a non profit working to improve political leadership, democratic innovation, and also mental well being and politics. kimberly, thanks so much for joining us. it seems like politicians at all levels and around the world are more at risk of physical harm. why do you think that is? um yes, thank you. maryland. thank you for for having me. so yes, um, unfortunately we are seeing a trends um, not just here in germany or in europe of increased political violence. i'm certainly here in germany where we operate, violets has doubled in the last 5 years. and it does say it's affecting pulsations across the political spectrum. so it, it seems that that no one is safe and the what might be driving this at the moment in europe and around the world are obviously many elections. so as part of this increase might be because of it being a super election year and politics and politicians are essentially much more in, in the line life in more front sensor and public discourse in the media and in social media as well. but even

and this is part of a public private partnership with the just home project, macarthur foundation and the urban institute. and we're really excited about this investment. we do have trailing legislation that was called with our budget item. and in order to make the initiatives that i just discussed come to fruition, we need to move forward. item number 11, which is an ordinance that allows the city to partially or to sorry to reappropriate state funding. that is interest prop c interest to reappropriate it for our family shelter and housing and that like i said before you today we do have a minor amendment that i'm happy to read into the record. and when the chair thinks that's most appropriate. do you want to highlight that while we have a balanced budget that maintains the additional 1000 shelter beds that we have funded over the last several years, over the next two fiscal years, in year three, we will see a significant drop if one time state funds are not renewed. so while we're looking pretty good for the next two years, in year three, we do have about a $63 million gap that coul
