maggie hassan was a shoe in, so to some degree that makes sense.epublican primary, when you had a fringe candidate like bullet running against the -- a guy named chuck morris, even in a hotly contested matchup like that. only 140,000 people voted. new hampshire is a small state, but still, when you compare those numbers to what we should expect in the general election, it paints a clear picture picture. in 20 28,000 people voted in the general election. in the last midterm back in 2018, nearly 600,000 people did. so as much as we can analyze those 230,000 people who collectively voted in the new hampshire primaries last night. it's not really a good predictor of anything? after all, those are the people who really pay attention to politics. the people who vote in primaries. and november is likely going to come down to some 400 to 600,000 people who did not vote last night, but might vote in november. from people who don't follow politics that closely, who don't vote in primaries. and if we're being honest, probably don't watch a lot of cable news.
