joining us now, malcolm jenkins of the new orleans saints, the founder of the malcolm jenkins foundation. thanks for joining us. you sit on the executive committee of the nfl players association. what have you heard about this new agreement on coronavirus testing? do you think it goes far enough? >> well, i think, you know, for us as players, we always want to defer to the data and the experts in our joint committee that we have with the nfl and let them tell us, you know, what the protocols should be. and i think from our end, that is onething. players want to play. we've seen that over the weekend with guys we want to get this done as we get closer and closer to camp. testing is just one of the many things that has been left on the table. but i think players are, you know, looking to see the league do a lot more when it comes to these negotiations and our health. >> yeah, safety is priority number one, the health of everyone. you tweeted yesterday -- let me put it up on the screen. it blows my mind that the nfl is unwilling to follow the recommendations of their own experts regarding p

let's talk to malcolm jenkins. thank you. appreciate you so much. >> i appreciate you having me. >> president trump still trying to use this issue as a wedge issue. the kneeling protests have never been about disrocketr respecting the flag. he's not getting the point despite everything that's happened in the last two, three years. >> well, he understands the point of this point, but he's choosing to ignore it. i think anybody who's looking to use sports, especially this year, as an outlet to kind of get away from what's happening right now in our country, is probably going to be sadly mistaken especially as we move towards the fall. it's been exciting for me to see sports like the mlb, the nba, everyone nascar getting involved and adding to the social commentary. it's really inspiring to see players and athletes like maya moore who gave up her whole career in the wnba to fight for somebody wrongly convicted, kenny stills and rodney harris, who are putting a lot of pressure on the attorney general to make an arrest and arrest

let's bring in player malcolm jenkins. thank you for joining us. says these team names, in his words, show strength, not weakness. what's your opinion? >> wolf, thanks for having me. my opinion, there's nothing strong about something that is offensive to native americans. not only the name, but in caricature. i think it's important that -- as long as i have been in the league, which this will be my 12th year, there's always been dialogue around changing the name of the washington redskins and other teams like it. i think it's important that we address that now in the racial climate that we're in as a country. but it's a good step. i hope these teams are bringing in members of the native american community to make sure as they move to a new name, new l logo, that it's one that honors the legacy of native americans. >> what message would it send if these teams were to change their names right now? >> i think it shows they are listening. that's what everybody wants. to see not only in statements and in your posts in social media, but we want to see ac
